KIM’S KORNER NOVEMBER 2019

It’s that time of year again to say “What we are THANKFUL for”. Here at Shelby Senior Services we have so many things to be thankful for.  To begin we held our 1st Annual Gala in October and are very blessed to have so many good people come out and support our mission and the Seniors of Shelby County.  It was a great success and it was a very nice evening for all involved.  The funds that were raised will go a long way in providing services for the seniors.  We had a wonderful committee, table sponsors, event sponsors, Board of Directors and staff who helped to make the evening a success.  Our seniors helped with the evening also with the video of all the wonderful seniors and programs that are available at Shelby Senior Services and testimonies of people that we help serve throughout the year.  We could not have made this evening as special without the help of everyone involved and I would like to say Thank You.

I am Thankful for the community and all the support we receive through donations, volunteers and collaboration that is given in the community to help make us a close knit group that help each other out as needed.  Shelby County I feel is unique in this aspect that the organizations work together for the betterment of the community.  I am Thankful that I live and work in this community and am able to be a part of it and support Shelby Senior Services, as well as, other organizations at the same time.  I am Thankful the seniors letting me come to my job every day and to work with them to hopefully make their lives more enjoyable and to have the staff that always has seniors first on their minds and to have the passion that they have for the seniors in Shelby County.  We are truly blessed.
