I would like to wish you Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas! As I am looking into December and these uncertain times, I would like to remind us to enjoy our family, friends and neighbors. This could be in person, by phone, or Zoom. The holidays can be depressing and then you add being home alone, not seeing loved ones and friends, and maybe not getting out at all into the mix and things can turn more bleak. We are trying to keep the seniors safe during this time and are taking extra precautions to do so. We would like you to practice some of the same precautions. With that being said, we can still call on loved ones, friends, and neighbors during this time to see if they need anything or maybe just to chat for a moment. Sometimes a phone call can brighten someone’s day. Even though the holidays may look a little different this year, please be kind and think of others. We are all in this together. We at Shelby Senior Services are making phone calls and delivering food to seniors that are shut in. We continue to provide our services and programs in the safest manner. We want seniors and their families to know that we are here to help or to help connect you with the assistance that you need. Please feel free to call us a 317-398-0127, view our website at www.shelbyseniorservices.org, or call and make an appointment at 1504 S Harrison St, Shelbyville, IN.
